When Otto's mother tells him that his apartment building is ten stories high, he sets off determined to find all those stories.

Otto takes the elevator up to the top floor, starting a journey of discovery and adventure.

Each floor opens onto what Otto sees, with his vivid imagination, and closes with a view of what everyone else might see. The floor shown in these pictures, for example, might house a man who keeps houseplants and a ginger tabby.

These illustrations are pencil and watercolor, capturing movement, light and humour.
